Writing is aought after talent, as many are able to earn huge amounts of money from their writings. Many writers use their talents to write books, others spend their time freelancing for others, and still others write for personal reasons. However, as much as you may enjoy writing, it does come with its pros and cons.

The Pros

Solitude. I enjoy writing because I enjoy the solitude that comes with it. Writing allows me to enter into my own world and stay there until my writing session is over.

Self-Expression. Writing is a way for you to express yourself. For many people, words do not come that easy, and writing is the great way to get your thoughts and ideas out to the world.

Earn Residual Income. One of the greatest benefits of writing is that you can earn a residual income from your work for many years to come. There are many writing platforms that you can sign up with, which allow you to get started without any costs. Or for even more earnings you can set up your own website and display your writings there.

Part-time. The great thing about writing is that you do not have to write full-time, as you have the choice when and how much you want to write.

The Cons

Low Pay. Even though many writers have stuck a goldmine with their writings, it is neverhelless is a low-paying job in general. Unless you can write a book that ends up on a best seller list, you will not make any that much money by writing. However, you can earn a residual income from your writings, which over time can add up and thenby provide you with a comfortable income.

Hard Work. Writing may seem easy for many, but for the most part it can be a challenge, as you need to come up with new and interesting ways to word your content so that your readers will not be bored. On top of that, you also need to know your punctuation and correct grammar so that you do not throw your reader off unintentionally.

Aftermore, once you have written your content you need to edit, edit, and edit again to make sure that you have used correct spelling and grammar in all of your sentences.

Writing may not be an easy task to accomplish when you first begin to write, but with more practice it does become easier. If you find yourself struggling a lot, you can always take a writing course to help you develop your writing skills.
